Our Ministry Philosophy

Many churches today focus on the business of "doing church" at the expense of Christlikeness.  Our MAIN PURPOSE is to see Christ formed in each one of usWe want His love, His joy, His patience, His kindness, His peace, His mercy and self control to shine through us everywhere we goIn this way, people will know that CrossLife is really a place where Christ's life is seen in usThis is what makes us different.  Most churches have the externals: budgets, mission plans, governing boards, service projects, planned instruction times etc..  However that is NOT what makes us unique in our world.  Many of these things will not even last when eternity comes.  What lasts and what matters is Christ shining through each of our unique personalities, serving Him as an outflow of our having been changed and being changed from within.   We will never lose sight of this is in everything we do.   So when you come to church, you ought to find people who are at different stages in this journey of "Christlikeness".   In fact, we are like a spiritual hospital, helping each person move forward in his/her goal of seeing Christ formed in them.  We believe this occurs best in LIFE groups. See also our Mission spelled out below:

Our Mission

The Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
(Matt. 28:19,20)

The Great Commandment: “ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind; This is the great and foremost commandment. And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” (Matt. 22:37-40)

BASED UPON THESE VERSES OUR MISSION IS THE FOLLOWING:

Our mission is to carry out our Lord’s Great Commission through Connecting, Growing, Serving and Sharing.

Our mission centers around these 4 biblical concepts: Connect, Grow, Serve, Share.

Learning to CONNECT to Christ as your Savior (justification) and following Him as your Lord (sanctification) is crucial.

Integrating with a “Christ focused” church and using your spiritual gifts in that Body to SERVE gives us purpose.

Following Christ by letting Him GROW your character in the context of all life’s relationships and trials is what distinguishes us as growing disciples.

Expanding the Body of Christ happens as we SHARE the good news of Christ with others and help them grow as disciples by connecting them to CrossLife church.
